О курсе
Course “Drinking Water: Quality and Treatment Systems (Bioengineering Part 1)” is the practice of water quality assessment and its managing. Can we be sure that our drinking water is really safe for us? How can we purify the water? Let us try to understand and answer!
We have tried to make the course as accessible as possible for students and offer a large selection of information, as well as links to additional scientific literature. This will help you to navigate even in difficult topics and to become familiar with the materials. Do you have a question? we have feedback and we are waiting for your questions!
How will this course help me in my daily life? This course focuses on conventional technologies for drinking water treatment. Unit processes, involved in the treatment chain, are discussed as well as the physical, chemical and biological processes involved. The emphasis is on the effect of treatment on water quality and the dimensions of the unit processes in the treatment chain. After the course one should be able to recognize the process units, describe their function.
