О курсе
This course is intended for master's students studying the discipline "Foreign language in professional communication".
The purpose of the course is to form language, educational and cognitive competence. The selected authentic materials allow to form all the necessary skills and can be used for independent training or as a supplementary material for the main course.
The course consists of 10 Units with a logically verified structure.
Each section reflects all the aspects necessary for mastering academic English:
- linguistic features and genre features of academic English;
- the principle of writing a formal letter;
- the structure of academic courses;
- methods of analysis and processing of research results in English;
- definition of research goals, objectives and methods;
- research work at the university and international scientific conferences;
- features of writing an annotation;
- the principle of creating a presentation of research results.

The target audience of the course is master degree students with B1-B2 level of English (CEFR)
