О курсе
The online course “Human Identification in Forensics: Сurrent Problems and Trends” has been designed and developed by the team of authors of Department of Forensic Medicine, Medical Institute of People’s Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University). The main objective of the course is to acquire systemic theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of forensic forensic personal identification and medical criminology.
- Module 1 is «GENERAL CONCEPTS IDENTIFICATION», which is aimed on consideration of the actual problems of personal identification in forensics and police practice
- Module 2 is «DNA ANALYSIS», highlighting the basics of genetics and DNA analysis procedures
- Module 3 is «FORENSIC ANTHROPOLOGY» dedicated to forensic osteology and odontology
- Module 4 is «FORENSIC FACIAL RECONSTRUCTION», covering the general concepts of facial anthropology and focusing on the method of forensic facial reconstruction
